Southampton: Fans rate the January transfer window after late deals define club’s business

Southampton fans are underwhelmed with the club’s January business with the transfer window closing on Friday night after the Saints made just one first-team signing.
Kyle Walker-Peters was the only new face to be added into the senior squad last month as the England youth international joined Southampton on loan from Tottenham for the remainder of the season (per Southampton’s official website), with the Saints also losing a few big-name players.
Cedric Soares (per BBC Sport) and Maya Yoshida (per Southampton’s official website) both left Southampton on Deadline Day in what was to be a busy final 24 hours for the Saints. Walker-Peters was Ralph Hasenhuttl’s only signing despite the Austrian manager hinting via Sky Sports News that there could be more than one signing.
Did Southampton need more than Walker-Peters?
Yes

And Southampton’s January business had been something that some Saints fans on social media had found underwhelming, with a few supporters expecting more than just Walker-Peters on loan for the season. Here’s what a handful of Southampton fans had to say on Twitter about the club’s January business…
