Southampton: Fans rave over clip of Kelvin Davis

A lot of Southampton fans are loving a clip posted by the club on Twitter of former goalie Kelvin Davis’ heroic performance against Leeds United back in 2012.
The Saints won the fixture 1-0 but only due to a great goalkeeping performance by Davis in which he made a great double save before the ball was cleared away. Indeed, Southampton finished second in the Championship that season and have stayed in the Premier League ever since.
They were automatically promoted along with Reading but only finished 2 points above West Ham so without performances like the one by Davis, there’s a chance that the Saints might have had to battle it out in the playoffs.
The English goalkeeper made 298 performances for the side, keeping 95 clean sheets and was a fan favourite during his time on the South Coast. Davis retired after the 2014/15 season and his time at Southampton was rewarded when he had a special testimonial match in May 2016 to celebrate his 10 years at the club. (Southampton)
Here is what some fans said on that terrific performance:

I remember it well, and Tadanari Lee’s knockdown for Rickie’s winner. I think that was the win that got us promoted. Magic times!
