Southampton: Fans react as Che Adams scores for U23 side

Some Southampton fans have reacted after seeing young striker Che Adams score in their U23 fixture against Leicester City.
Adams signed in the summer from Championship side Birmingham for £15.03 million but the 23-year-old has failed to truly impose himself in Ralph Hassenhuttl’s Premier League side. Indeed, in his 21 appearances, the forward has 3 assists but has failed to score and has had to accept sitting on the bench whilst Danny Ings has had his best season for the Saints, having already scored 15 goals as an argument for his inclusion England’s Euro 2020 squad grows.
Still, Adams was linked with a loan move to Leeds in the summer but Hassenhuttl emphasised that he wanted him to stay, which shows that there may be a future for him to succeed at the Saints.
The striker was also playing in the u23 game with Oriol Romeu, another player struggling to get game time this season, and the Spanish defensive midfielder provided the assist for Adams although the Saints lost 3-1.
Who would you rather have their in prime?
Danny Ings

Rickie Lambert
