Southampton: Fans react to Moussa Djenepo’s goal in Mali win

Moussa Djenepo was in inspired form over the weekend as Mali beat Chad 2-0 in an Africa Cup of Nations Group A qualifier.
The 21-year-old opened the scoring for his nation in the 14th minute, with hosts Chad unable to find a reply.
Can Moussa Djenepo rescue Southampton's season?
Yes

No

The victory puts Mali joint top of the pack – level with Guinea on four points, who beat Namibia 2-0 in their group fixture.
It was another solid performance from Djenepo, who has looked a bright spark in an otherwise extremely bleak campaign for Southampton this season.
The former Standard Liege winger has scored twice in just five appearances for the Saints this time out, with his latest effort – the match-winner against Sheffield United in September – a delightfully pleasing solo attempt which really showed exactly what he is capable of.
After he found the net for Mali, Southampton’s official Twitter account provided fans with an update.
Here’s how some responded – a few joked about his positioning for the Saints, where for some reason Ralph Hasenhuttl has decided to play him as more of a defensively-minded left-midfielder/wing-back than an out-and-out winger…
Was he playing left wing back??
