Southampton fans in the Transfer Tavern will be hoping their side can get a victory against Chelsea at the weekend to help them with their aims for survival, however, they will be without a key man for their clash.
According to Ben Dinnery, who is a freelance injury data analyst, Soton will be without the experienced Steven Davis for the visit of the Blues, whilst Jack Stephens begins his three-match suspension following his sending off against Arsenal.
Mark Hughes confirms Steven Davis is the Saints' only expected injury absentee on Saturday. Jack Stephens begins his three-game suspension. Long [ankle] and Lemina [illness] should recover in time. #SaintsFC

Mark Hughes also revealed that Shane Long should be available for the match after he was a doubt with an ankle injury, whilst Mario Lemina will also be in contention after recovering from an illness that ruled him out of the game with the Gunners.
The match against Chelsea would not have come at a better time for the Saints, with the Blues all over the place at the moment and struggling to get their own victories in recent fixtures, having lost to Tottenham Hotspur and drew with West Ham United last weekend.
The Southampton fans in the Tavern will be hoping their side can perform against a Chelsea side that has struggled in recent games, although many locals will believe the absence of Steven Davis could be a big factor in the result.
It’s going to be a tough ask tomorrow and, while Davis has been missing for a while now, not having the Northern Ireland star to rely on is a big blow.
