Southampton take on Derby County tonight at St. Mary's in their FA Cup third-round replay.

The Saints were held to a 2-2 draw in the first encounter between the two teams after Jack Marriott and Tom Lawrence cancelled out Nathan Redmond's brace, and the home side could again be in for a tough test based on Frank Lampard's recent words.

The Breakdown

"You have to believe when you go to those places, if not you are half beaten before you start," the Derby boss told reporters (via BT Sport) when speaking about his approach for tonight's game.

"So the no-fear factor is us going and believing in what we are doing, believing individually and collectively. We have talent and we have desire to win the game. We have shown we can match anybody," Lampard added.

This season, the above is the route Derby have often gone down under Lampard and to great success. With that in mind, Southampton need to be cautious heading into their clash against the Rams.

Although the Saints have gone under a revival and look rejuvenated since Ralph Hasenhuttl replaced Mark Hughes as manager, there are still many areas where they need to improve with seeing out games still proving to be a problem for them, for example.

Ultimately, Southampton cannot afford to take Derby lightly if they want to progress to the next round of the FA Cup where a trip to the Crown Ground to face Accrington Stanley awaits.
