Southampton would add flair in attack by signing £10.8m-rated Everton ace

The Southampton fans gathered inside the Transfer Tavern are feeling more confident for the season ahead with Mark Hughes in charge, a former player of the Saints who understands the clubs value to supporters.

Having stumbled to a 17th place finish last season, Mark Hughes will be desperate to change his clubs fortunes as they head into the new campaign. Southampton have already brought in Stuart Armstrong from Celtic and Mohamed Elyounoussi, who arrived from Basel. In addition to that creative due, our punters suggest that the Saints should take a gamble on Everton’s Ademola Lookman, who is valued at £10.8 million on Transfermarkt.

The exciting 20-year-old has spent the last six months on-loan to German outfit RB Leipzig, where he set the Bundesliga alight, scoring 5 goals and creating 4 assists in 11 appearances, so it’s no wonder why Leipzig are keen to bring Lookman back to the club permanently. Southampton, on the other hand, have made a positive start to the transfer window but one that could get even better with the capture of the Englishman. Everton haven’t yet realised the true talent Lookman possesses, which Southampton can profit from massively.

With the ability to play on the left wing or right wing as well as the main forward, Lookman would provide speed, trickery and chances for Southampton should they do everything to bring him to the club. At just 20-years-old, Ademola Lookman is already a hot prospect and seeing as the Saints are renowned for giving young payer opportunities, Lookman could be another shining success in their story.
