Manolo Gabbiadini could be one step closer to sealing his exit from Southampton this January.
It is claimed the Serie A outfit have made the Saints a loan offer with an obligation to purchase the player for £10.75million at the end of the season.
However, a move is thought to depend on whether Sampdoria can offload one of their own attackers, Dawid Kownacki, in the January window first.
Gabbiadini’s future at Southampton is almost certainly over under Ralph Hasenhuttl as he appears to have been frozen out of his first-team plans following his arrival on the south coast.
There does not appear to be a day that goes by regarding Gabbiadini’s Southampton future, however, it does appear he is closer to an exit.
The 27-year-old has struggled to replicate the early form he showed following his arrival from Napoli in January 2017 and it does not appear that he will have a chance to show his worth once again.
However, with Sampdoria thought to have to offload one of their own first, it could be a long transfer window for both the Premier League outfit and the Italy international.
