Southampton set to offload unhappy attacker in January

Gaston RamirezThe Southampton supporting punters in the Transfer Tavern are a friendly bunch of soles and are happily enjoying the re-run of Premiership Years on the big screen, as they sample a pint of the landlord’s best bitter.

The club looks to be back on track after a difficult start to the 2015/16 campaign, and speculation as begun to mount as to who will make way for new additions to come into the club in January.

One man who looks set to be offloaded is striker Gaston Ramirez, who has struggled to hold down a regular first-team place this season.

A likely destination for the Uruguayan could be Bologna in Italy, where the Saints initially signed him from and talkSPORT are reporting that the player is keen for the move to take place.

A Saints fan in the smoking area of the Transfer Tavern, thinks the move is best for all parties.

He said: “I can’t see Gaston having a future down here and the time is right to severe all ties with the player.”

Saints fans… Do you agree? Is Ramirez on borrowed time? Have you seen enough? Will he do a job somewhere else?
