Southampton should steal a march on the top four and sign this young midfield star

Southampton have got themselves off to an inconsistent start to the Premier League season and this was highlighted further today with a 2-2 draw against Newcastle at St Mary’s.

The Saints are under new management once again and despite having what appears a talented squad, they seem to be struggling to pick up consistent wins and climb the table.

Our landlord here in the Tavern is getting a bit sick of seeing the club sell all their top talent, and he thinks it’s about time the club stole a march on other clubs with their own transfer targets.

One player who has caught his eye who he believes Southampton could make a move for is young midfielder Nikola Moro, currently impressing in Croatia for Dinamo Zagreb.

Moro looks to be a classy midfielder player who can get himself among the goals, and despite being a teenager, has already become a first team regular, making 11 appearances this term alone.

Southampton might not have the biggest budget in the Premier League, but targeting players like Moro could be the ideal move. The Premier League has seen some classy Croatian players in the past such as Luka Modric and Niko Kranjcar, and Moro could well be the next to be added to this list.

Southampton fans, what do you know about Moro? Would he be a good signing? Let us know in the comments!
