Southampton will travel to the King Power Stadium on Saturday as they meet Leicester City in the Premier League.
Ralph Hasenhuttl will know a win has the potential to get them out of the bottom three as they look to turn things around.
The Saints will be looking to take advantage of the host’s poor home record, whilst they will also be hoping they have not recovered from their shock defeat to Newport County in the FA Cup last weekend.
Charlie Austin has been hit with a two-game ban after he was charged for making an abusive and/or insulting gesture during their defeat to Manchester City.
His absence will be further felt with the fact that both Danny Ings and Michael Obafemi are unavailable with hamstring injuries.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is also unavailable as he continues his four-match suspension, whilst Maya Yoshida is away on international duty with Japan in the Asia Cup.
Coupled with the fact that both Ings and Obafemi are unavailable, Austin’s suspension will come as a huge blow to Southampton and Hasenhuttl.
The Saints have not managed to score too often this season and with Manolo Gabbiadini having completed a move to Sampdoria, it leaves a question about who is going to get them the goals.
Southampton need to turn things around quickly, otherwise, they could find themselves in for a desperately hard season once again.
