Southampton will travel to Old Trafford and meet Manchester United as they look to continue their challenge of remaining in the Premier League.
The Saints managed to boost their hopes of survival in midweek with a 2-0 victory against fellow strugglers Fulham, however, Ralph Hasenhuttl will know the Reds Devils will be a completely different challenge.
And, according to the club’s official website, Southampton will be without two of their key individuals for the trip to Manchester.
Both Danny Ings and Mario Lemina continue to remain on the sidelines as they continue to recover from their injuries and have not yet returned to training.
Ings has been out for four weeks after he picked up a knock against Burnley, whilst Lemina is yet to feature for the Saints in 2019.
Other than Michael Obafemi, who is still out for the long-term, Hasenhuttl will be able to call upon the rest of his squad, including Maya Yoshida.
The game against Manchester United was never going to be easy for Southampton, however, the absences of Ings and Lemina will still be regarded as a blow.
The striker has been key in finding the back of the net for the struggling outfit this season and his goals will be needed if they are to continue with their aims of fighting for their Premier League status.
Lemina has been missed in the middle of the park for Hasenhuttl’s side and many will be hoping he is not too far away from making a return to the first-team.
