Southampton will return to action on Wednesday when they host Crystal Palace at The St. Mary’s Stadium.
Ralph Hasenhuttl has turned things around for the Saints this season since arriving in December and will want to see the good form continue against the London outfit.
The two sides sit level with each other in the Premier League on 22 points after 23 games so far.
But according to the club’s official website, they will be without a couple of their players for the home contest.
Mario Lemina remains sidelined with a stomach issue that has seen him miss all of their matches in 2019 so far, whilst Charlie Austin remains out with a swollen ankle.
However, Hasenhuttl did reveal that Ryan Bertrand and Matt Targett are both on the verge of making recoveries, with the latter thought to be available for the meeting with The Eagles.
Southampton will want to keep their recent run of form in the Premier League going as they look to climb away from the relegation zone.
Lemina’s absence will continue to come as a blow to The Saints and their chances, however, they have managed to fair well without him so far.
Palace will be bouncing from the fact that they beat Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup at the weekend, however, Southampton did not have a game and had extra time to prepare for the fixture.
