Spaniard open to summer Tottenham move?

soldado.jpgMetro contain a rather exciting story for Tottenham fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern after if was claimed that Roberto Soldado would not rule out a move to the club.

The forward has often been linked with Spurs and now it seems that a move could actually come to pass. The club are of course looking for a forward to take some of the pressure of Gareth Bale who may not even remain at the club and it seems that the Spanish international could well be the top of that list.

With North London rivals Arsenal edging clearer in their race to land Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Higuain, it seems Andre Villas-Boas has been left to battle it out for Soldado, who claimed he would not close any doors on a move to the club and noted just how well some of his compatriots have done in the Premier League, echoing Swansea City striker Michu’s claims last week.

Given the 30 goals the player managed to net at Valencia last season, the Mestalla-based club would like to keep the player, but given their finanical situation, like much of La liga, should a good offer come in for their star players, they would be hard pressed not to accept.

Is Soldado the man Spurs will push for this summer? Rate this rumour below.
