Spanish outfit eye move for Manchester United hotshot

hernandez.jpgWayne Rooney may be the forward everyone is talking about when it comes to Manchester United but there are growing rumours according to talkSPORT that another of their strikers may prove a hot property this summer.

It has been claimed that Javier Hernandez is a target for Spanish side Atletico Madrid who of course are set to face up to the loss of superstar forward Radamel Falcao this summer. Hernandez has already been linked with their cross-city rivals Real, yet the Spanish press seem fairly certain it is Atleti who will be making an approach for the Mexican international this summer.

Of course Hernandez has been doing brilliantly at Old Trafford but with such a blockbuster array of striking talent, his playing time has been limited to less than what he feels is adequate and could well be tempted with a move and the promise of being the number one forward at the Vicente Calderon. Not only this but Atleti are close to being assured of a Champions League place next season and would be able to lure ‘Little Pea’ with the offer of football at the highest level.

With United linked to a host of players even given their top class squad we would not be surprised if one of their forwards were to leave and whilst everyone’s money might have been on Wayne Rooney leaving last week, we at the tavern think that an eye should be kept on this developing story.

Will Chicharito make a summer move to Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid side? Rate this rumour below.
