Spoof: A sign of how far Manchester United have fallen?

Who would have thought this time a year ago, when Manchester United were running away with their 20th Premier League title – that David Moyes would be overseeing a squad described as in free-fall going into the second half of the 2013/14 season.

United’s fall from the top has been dramatic.

The champions have suffered six league defeats already this season, four of which have come at Old Trafford.

Moyes also watched his side get dumped out of the FA Cup at home to Swansea City last week, and earned himself an FA charge for his comments on referees in the aftermath of their Capital One Cup semi final first leg defeat to Sunderland.

All of this has bought some good news for the remaining fans who haven’t yet switched allegiances to Manchester City – or the closer to home Chelsea – in that shirt’s are now reduced by 50% and 70%.

Great news for anyone looking to purchase a cheap mid season shirt, or any Liverpool fans looking for expensive toilet roll.
