There seems to be a new craze hitting footballers in the North London area.
Inspired by Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen, players have become involved in pulling each others shorts down in rather juvenile fashion – and in Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny’s case, even you’re own team-mates aren’t safe!
The Pole in goal was caught in the aftermath of Arsenal’s recent impressive 2-0 win over Napoli in the Champions League last week, having a cheeky tug on the shorts of Arsenal’s BFG (Big Friendly German), Per Mertesacker.
Whether Olivier Giroud was involved either as a decoy or was unsuccessful in his own attempts to get a grip on Mertesacker’s shorts remains unclear.
Now the game was over, and there was no way of getting any advantage out of this situation in the way Vertonghen had, make of this from Szczesny what you will!
