Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner scored his first Premier League goal in over two years on Wednesday night, scoring the opener as Arsenal beat Hull City 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
The Dane was certainly a surprise choice to start the game on Wednesday night, considering he is not seen as much more than a figure of fun in North London.
Arsenal fans have certainly struggled to warm to the Premier League’s most confident player, probably because he spends all his time explaining how good he is, whilst never scoring any goals.
Arsenal fans never go into a game expecting a Bendtner goal – or any fans for that matter- and this that was certainly the case for this Twitter user on Wednesday night.
So confident that Bendtner would go another game without a goal, Mitch Gordon declared:
‘If Bendtner scores tonight, I will toothpaste my Mums eyebrows whilst she’s asleep.’
And we all know what happened next!
