David Moyes is back in the firing line after Manchester United suffered their sixth Premier League defeat of the season at the hands of Tottenham on New Year’s Day.
The result left Manchester United 11 points behind league leaders Arsenal and five points behind bitter rivals Liverpool in fourth.
But one piece of good news for Moyes, is that he has finally delivered on a promise.
He spent the summer promising he would deliver a top midfielder for United, only to sign Maraoune Fellaini – so it’s about time he kept his word on something.
With United languishing in seventh place at the moment, Moyes has managed to come good on a promise he made all the way back in 2003 – to take Everton above United.
Although he has not done it in the most conventional way and although it has taken him 11 years and a club change to do it, he has played his part in the Toffees sitting up above the Champions in the table more than most!
Congratulations Moyesie, have a drink on us!
