Down here at the Football Transfer Tavern, we know that not everyone can get along, especially when football is involved. Therefore, over the years, we’ve had punters sort things out/voice their opinions via physical violence (they’re all barred now), by sitting down and talking over their differences or, quite simply, just avoiding and ignoring one another.
I only bring this up because, although I may not agree with one or two of the solutions, at least they’re all, well, ‘manly’ solutions, which is something the Chelsea fans could learn from.
The Chelsea following (and punters) are a hard bunch to please, just ask current Napoli manager Rafael Benitez and when they’re (regularly) outraged, how do they protest? With flimsy paper and felt tips, of course!
Stamford Bridge sometimes resembles my niece’s reception class’ session of ‘Show and Tell’.
One punter even quipped that the A4 paper and gel pens will be out in full force again, following Chelsea’s surprising 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United on Saturday.
We are have asked a few of the Chelsea regulars to bring in their ‘banners’ and we’ve made a rather neat collage of them for the ladies toilets.
Take a look (knock first, obviously).
