You couldn’t help but feel a little bit sorry for Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger on Saturday.
All the hype before the game was surrounding the Frenchman’s 1000th game in charge of the Gunners.
Sky Sports even went to the trouble to do a special interview with former chairman David Dein, whilst BT Sport even forked out for a bottle of champagne.
But Wenger will have had fewer games worse than his landmark achievement, as he watched his Arsenal side go down to a humiliating 6-0 defeat at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge.
What should have been a celebration, ended with Jose Mourinho walking off without the decency to even shake his hand at the end of the game.
So we have decided to give Wenger a landmark moment he can be proud of, by presenting him with the coveted ‘longest coat in football’ award, as this viral image explains.
Not perhaps the thing he would have hoped to have been celebrating following this weekend, but at least it’s something Arsene!
