Manchester United’s Wilfried Zaha is a wanted man. Not just here in the Football Transfer Tavern, but also around England.
In fact, as one of our punters quips, the only man that does not seem to want the player is David Moyes. Quite unfortunate really, given Moyes is his manager!
After the awful start to the season by Manchester United, last night saw the return of Javier Hernandez to the starting line up – and Chicharito rewarded Moyes by scoring the only goal of the game against arch-rivals Liverpool in the third round of the Capital One Cup.
However, we did not see Zaha at all as we may have expected, despite the winger being on the bench.
As we are discussing that fact, our landlord shows us a picture that seems to have taken on a bit of a wild wild west theme, mocking up Zaha on a wanted poster.
Now don’t get us wrong, we have suggested certain players should be featured on milk bottles at times, such is the amount they go missing in games, but we have never seen a poster quite like this!
It seems a change is as good as a rest (and Zaha has had quite enough of those) as our punters seem to love the viral poster. As they make their way over from the pool table to take a closer look, our landlord reads out exactly what it says.
United fans certainly agree with the fact that Zaha provides lots of skill and flair on the wing and would love to see the winger ‘found’ and restored to the starting eleven following a solitary starting appearance in the Community Shield against Wigan Athletic.
One thing that we are unsure of however is the claim that Zaha will use lollipops if cornered! Hmm, strange.
