Arsenal announced the biggest kit contract in English football history last season, when they agreed a deal with Puma said to be worth £30 million over the next five years – figures that suggest it’s kind of a big deal.
The kit is not supposed to be launched until next season, but Arsenal fans have been treated to a sneak peek by erm… Linford Christie.
The former Olympic gold medal winning athlete is an ambassador for Puma, and thought it would be a good idea to tweet a picture of the highly anticipated new kit eight months early.
To be fair, Christie was stood next to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry who so happened to be modelling the new strip – so you can’t blame him for getting a bit excited.
When he realised that he had leaked Puma’s big surprise, the former sprinter quickly removed the image from his account – but by then it had already gone viral.
Current Gunners stars Bacary Sagna and Olivier Giroud also came along for the ride too.
And we have it here for you. Arsenal fans, what do you think?
