Liverpool fans’ frustrations are only just subsiding in the Football Transfer Tavern, after a disappointing January transfer window.
Fans have been left wondering how exactly the club conducts it’s transfer business, considering the Reds have missed out on a host of top targets over the last two windows.
In the summer, they missed out on Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who opted to join Borussia Dortmund, Diego Costa who opted to stay with Atletico Madrid, and Willian, who opted to join Chelsea – via a medical at Tottenham.
The Blues pipped them to another signing this time around, with the Reds refusing to meet the asking price for top transfer target Mohamed Salah.
And of course, despite club officials spending three days in Ukraine, the Reds couldn’t tie up a deal for Yevhen Konoplayanka on deadline day.
Liverpool supporters may have an answer as to why the club can’t seem to complete a deal, with a copy of the club’s official transfer formulas discovered on Ian Ayre’s laptop.
Maths doesn’t appear to be Ian’s strong point, does it?
