Last week we were given a glimpse of the official Manchester United Xbox 360 controller – which has strangely gone out of business since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson.
With the ‘Fergie time’ button no longer in use, it seems the same geniuses have turned their attentions to Liverpool, and launched the official Liverpool Football Club controller.
Similar in many ways to the Manchester United one on display last week, the wonder of these controllers is that each is tailored to wind up supporters of the specific clubs by having each button represent a well known stereotype.
The new Liverpool addition features a lot of classic features, including ‘Talk about history’ (18 league titles and 5 European cups incase anyone had forgotten), ‘Suarez dive’ (even when he’s not playing he’s causing controversy) and the recently added ‘Pink smoke bomb’, which seems to have become a feature of the travelling Kop in recent seasons.
With FIFA 14 on the horizon, this would be an excellent gift for any true Liverpool fan and just in time for Christmas. The rumoured cost is said to be £35 million, although there is a loan option and the opportunity to sell back for £15 million a year later when you decide it doesn’t fit in with your plans any longer!
