Technology nowadays just blows my mind.
You should see the Football Transfer Tavern punters when we are screening a live sporting event. When something of note happens, instead of showing some form of emotion or reaction they all reach into their pockets, and pull out their iPhones, tablets or laptops and jump straight on Twitter to give their opinion.
Now, I’m not against Twitter, in fact I’ve been trying to get our landlord to let me run the tavern’s Twitter account but he says he can’t trust me to say something I shouldn’t.
Anyway, my point is, there is a time and place for Twitter and I reckon Manchester United’s Javier Hernandez needs to realise this.
I totally sympathise with the Red Devils striker; he bags a brace against Norwich City in the Capital One Cup and then David Moyes repays him by sticking him on the substitutes bench against Fulham.
I managed to grab a screenshot of what the Mexican international had retweeted on the social media site and, well, if you ask me, could we have just seen the first ever transfer request handed in via Twitter?
Have a look for yourself.
