Manchester United ‘star’ Maraoune Fellaini is the latest footballer to be caught up in a texting scandal – although this one is perhaps not what you might expect.
The Belgian spent the summer sulking at Goodison Park until deadline day, when he was granted his wish to join David Moyes at Manchester United.
But it has been a case of ‘be careful what you wish for’ so far for Fellaini, as he has struggled to nail down a first team place, and indeed place an accurate pass.
With Fellaini struggling to justify his £27.5 million price tag, the Belgian midfielder was snapped texting recently from his most commonly visited place – the substitutes bench – during Saturday’s latest home defeat to Newcastle United.
And someone has magically managed to grab a screen shot of Fellaini’s conversation.
Looks as though Roberto Martinez is having none of it!
