Last week’s headlines were dominated by the news that Liverpool star Luis Suarez could miss the World Cup with a knee injury picked up on the final day of the season.
England fans rejoiced the news that they would not be facing the forward who had fired 31 Premier League goals last season, however those celebrations now look a tad premature.
The Uruguayan Football Association have sent the 27-year-old for an operation, and have since stated it was a success and they expect the forward to be fit for the summer’s tournament in Brazil.
If anyone had any lingering doubts about whether Suarez will make the big kick off, they should take a look at the strikers ability to seemingly resurrect from the dead, during Liverpool’s end of season clash with Norwich City.
Guess Uncle Woy should start making plans to deal with Suarez after all!
