Last week proved a week to forget for Manchester United fans (once again), as noisy neighbours Manchester City arrived at Old Trafford, and left with three goals and three points without a reply.
The reigning champions have had an awful season under ‘the Wrong One’ – but should it really have been that bad?
As Moyes ran his latest excuses in the aftermath of the latest crushing defeat, he claimed City were at the level United ‘aspired to’.
Should that really be the case though, when we take a look at both starting line ups from last weeks derby?
Manchester United’s line up cost a combined total of £181.6 million, whilst moneybag’s City’s cost… £176 million.
Something of a surprise when you consider United are apparently in need of a ‘major rebuilding job’.
Perhaps they shouldn’t spend more money on Maraoune Fellaini than City paid for Yaya Toure in that case.
Sorry to kick you when you are down United fans, but it looked as though you got ripped off!
