Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are still pretty inconsolable following the sale of Juan Mata last week.
Some have even gone as far to speak negatively about ‘the Special One’ following his decision to sell the Blues best player of the past two years to Manchester United – but only in whispers.
Even pinching Mohamed Salah from under the noses of Liverpool has done little to cheer up Chelsea fans, some of whom are concerned they may have single handedly started Manchester United’s revival by giving them the best player in their squad.
But whilst Chelsea fans comfort themselves with the idea there could be method in Mourinho’s madness, we have discovered a good money saving technique for those unfortunate enough to still have a Mata shirt.
Rather than keep it as a painful reminder of the time Mourinho decided to offer a player who genuinely loved the club and was a genuine world class talent to one of their biggest rivals in football, you can customize it into a Matic 21 shirt.
Simply cross out the 0 and put a 2 at the beginning to change 10 to 21, and customize the A into an I and add an extra C, and there you have an up to date, with the name of a brand new signing on the back.
It won’t bring the ‘Special Juan’ back, but it at least it will save you a few quid.
