Daniel Levy has carved himself a reputation as one of the most feared chairman in the business.
Negotiating with Levy is almost certain to leave you out of pocket. Just ask Manchester United – they paid £30 million for Dimitar Berbatov.
Real Madrid were the latest to succumb to the demands of Mr Levy – paying a world record figure for a player who had enjoyed two good seasons in the Premier League.
And it seems Levy cannot stop negotiating wherever he goes, judging by this recent snap.
As a man who likes to give back to the community – sort of – Levy was pictured with the employees of a local Sainsbury’s, with what appears to be the town mayor.
Nobody is quite sure what led to this turn of events, but it gave Levy the opportunity to do some further negotiating, offering £11.50 and his last polo for the mayor’s nice shiny necklace.
Every little helps! Oh wait, that’s Tesco’s…
