Tottenham fans are looking up with interest here in the Football Transfer Tavern as the Daily Mail claim that the club are stepping up the chase for a £20 million rated summer transfer target.
Andre Villas-Boas is set to ramp up the chase for Roma star Miralem Pjanic and is willing to pay up to £20 million for the Bosnian international. Villas-Boas is keen to bolster his midfield and given the fact that Scott Parker is set to join the summer clear out at the North London club, the 23-year-old Bosnian is more needed than ever at the club, despite the imminent official arrival of Paulinho from Corinthians.
Not only does AVB have to focus on bringing in new blood to the club but he also has to make sure that Gareth Bale remains at the club and that another forward is found.
Spurs are not the only club interested in Pjanic however as Barcelona have also expressed their desire to sign the highly coveted player.
Pjanic previously noted that: “Barcelona are tracking me and have enquired about my situation.”
Do Tottenham stand a chance of luring Pjanic to WHL this summer? Do they need another midfielder? Let us know your thoughts below.
