Spurs went another transfer window without adding any new faces to their ranks, as Mauricio Pochettino seemingly made do with his current squad.
A couple of recent results have called that decision into question somewhat though, and it looks like being another season of just falling short in the Premier League for the Londoners and their talented squad.
However, we here in the Tavern think that this January should have been a different story for Spurs, and they should have gone out and made some new signings to enchance their title push.
And one man we feel they will be kicking themselves over missing out on is former Genoa and now AC Milan striker, Kyrzysztof Piatek, who has been in sensational form since sealing a move to the San Siro.
Piatek has become one of the hottest properties on the European footballing stage thanks to his performances at Genoa and now in Milan, and with only Harry Kane as a recognised central striker capable of consistently hittin the back of the net, Spurs could well have done with signing him.
There is further potential to Piatek too, who at only 23 has his best years still to come in all honesty.
Valued currently at a meagre £40m according to Transfermarkt, the Polish striker is looking every bit the real deal.
Spurs simply need more in their squad if they are to win the league in the coming seasons, and missing out on players like Piatek is something they cannot afford to keep doing in the coming transfer windows.
Spurs fans, would you agree? Would Piatek have been a good signing? Let us know in the comments!
