Wilfried Zaha has been a name on Spurs fans lips for a long time. The Ivorian winger has dazzled opponents at Selhurst Park since he rejoined the club from Manchester United back in 2015. According to The Sun, the tricky winger could be set to have another crack at a playing for a big club with Spurs, although the Lillywhites are reluctant to pay the £70 million valuation.

This summer is a huge opportunity for Tottenham, and, as usual, Daniel Levy is leaving his business late. The club could be set to sign up to five new players with Jack Grealish, Andre Gomes and Wilmar Barrios all reportedly close to making the switch to the North London club, but none of them have the pedigree and knowledge of the Premier League that Zaha has. It also helps that Mauricio Pochettino is keen to bring a winger in.
Zaha is being chased by Borussia Dortmund and Everton as well as Spurs so it won’t be easy for Pochettino and Levy to persuade him to choose them. The last time the 25-year-old played for a big club was at Manchester United where he spent two seasons between 2013 and 2015, although he flopped massively at Old Trafford. However, he’s now a more mature and more complete player than he was then and it seems like now is a sensible time to try and make the step up again to a Champions League calibre side.

£70 million what a joke

Ross pleasw stop tweeting about the same players since last summer

As you can see, the Spurs fans are wary of this one. There’s no doubting Zaha’s talents but the price tag and his Old Trafford days are definitely a cause for concern among the fans.
