Spurs handed crushing transfer blow as prime-target rules-out transfer

Michy BatshuayiMichy BatshuayiTottenham Hotspur fans have endured a difficult week and they waltzed into the Transfer Tavern today hoping for some positive transfer news but, unfortunately, we haven’t been able to provide them with any.

TalkSport report Tottenham’s prime striking target Michy Batshuayi wants to stay put with Marseille in Ligue 1, despite the allure of Premier League and Champions League football on offer in north London.

The highly-rated Belgian international has been heavily linked with a move to England over the course of the summer, particularly with his current employers shockingly sitting 13th in the Ligue 1 table.

However, speaking to L’Equipethe 16-goal scoring 22-year-old forward insisted he sees his future at the Stade Velodrome.

“My future is at Marseille. I want to stay, I love the stadium, the fans, lots of players in this squad. I am in love with this club. I would prefer to leave this club after leaving a trace on people’s minds, my story with Marseille is far from over.”

Our landlord feels it’s a bizarre move from Batshuayi but respects the players loyalty and he’s urged Spurs to find an alternative target quickly.
