Tottenham Hotspur will be desperate to keep the pressure on Manchester City after briefly passing them in the table at the weekend, as they have the opportunity to make a big statement.
Spurs weren’t exactly at their best against Newcastle United on Saturday but they still managed to grind out a positive result, as Heung-min Son grabbed the winner.
But, it appears as if the North London club are already looking at a possible summer signing, as according to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Adrien Rabiot.
Spurs are believed to be interested in securing the services of the Frenchman, with Arsenal boss Unai Emery believing that he could have the edge in the race for the midfielder.
Emery is a big fan of the midfielder and would a reunion at the Gunners, so it would make it even sweeter if Spurs manage to get the better of Arsenal in the race.
However, the Lilywhites will face even more competitions as the likes of Liverpool and Bayern Munich are also interested in a move for the 23-year-old.
The 23-year-old is set to continue talks with a host of top European clubs between now and the end of the season, but Spurs may fancy themselves with a new stadium and a vacant midfield position at this moment in time.
Spurs would love nothing more than to beat their North London rivals in the race to secure his services, with Emery being an admirer of the central midfielder.
Indeed, Spurs currently have a vacant position in the middle of midfield after Mousa Dembele’s departure, with Rabiot being the perfect man to slot right into his place.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
