There is some bad news for Lewis Holtby here in the Football Transfer Tavern as the Daily Mail report that the north London club are willing to listen to offers for the young star.
After failing to impress since his £1.5 million move from Schalke, it seems that the board at White Hart Lane are no longer willing to wait for yet another of their young players to come good and will cash in on Holtby should the right offer arise.
As one of our punters notes, Spurs spent an awful lot of money last summer and whilst the spending has been quite quiet this time around, they have a new manager and are still finding themselves as a team – and one with a fairly young average age at that.
Holtby reportedly wants to have a chance to impress at the Lane but it seems that Mauricio Pochettino is unwilling to waste his time on the player who he feels is not up to the standard he wants to bring Spurs as a club.
Spurs fans. What do you think about this? Is Holtby someone you felt could have impressed given the chance? Who do you think will profit from his sale most? Let us know your thoughts below.
