Our Everton and Spurs fans here in the Transfer Tavern are both enjoying the way their seasons are going at the moment and things might get even better for one of them.
That’s because, in speaking to Emre Sarigul of Yahoo Sport, Muzzi Ozcan – the agent of starlet Ozancan Kokcu – has claimed that both the Premier League clubs are amongst those interested in his player’s signature.
The youngster can play in a variety of roles around the front third and it appears his performances for Feyenoord U19’s have attracted some pretty high-profile interest.
“We have serious offers from England, Holland and Germany.
“Tottenham, Everton and clubs in Germany are speaking to him, Spurs are pursuing the contract the hardest.”
It looks like we could be in for quite the transfer battle, then, with Spurs apparently in pole position and our landlord can’t wait to see who manages to emerge successful for the young starlet.
Certainly, if Kokcu joined either side he’d be well placed to make into the first team as both sides have shown their willingness to use youth this season.
Our landlord thinks, though, that a move to Spurs may pay more dividends than a Goodison Park switch as the club are looking better placed to offer Champions League football over the coming seasons.
Where should Kokcu go? Let us know below!
