‘Spurs legend’ – Most Tottenham fans already love this transfer target after World Cup antics

The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been speculating over the future of Colombia and Boca Juniors midfielder, Wilmar Barrios. The 24-year-old was one of the main antagonists on Tuesday night when England faced Colombia and now he could be set to join the Premier League, according to Diario Registrado.

The Tottenham fans were keeping a close eye on the midfielder when the Three Lions lined up against Colombia and it wasn’t hard to keep your eye on the 24-year-old. The Boca Juniors man was absolutely everywhere. He put in an N’Golo Kante-esque performance, although with a little bit more wind-up in him than Chelsea’s Frenchman has. The Lilywhites will be keen on securing Barrios’ signature, and with a small transfer fee, it’s a no-brainer.

At the moment, the Lilywhites have been linked to a whole host of midfield options. The club could potentially be signing Steven N’Zonzi, Adrien Rabiot, Tanguy Ndombele and Barrios this summer. It doesn’t matter how unlikely that is, the players are all being linked to signing for Mauricio Pochettino and with transfer fees spiralling in today’s day and age, Barrios’ £16 million tag is a kind fee for an impressive midfielder of his calibre.

Whilst some Spurs fans in the Tavern aren’t interested in the Colombian, he would make a top addition to the squad with his fiery temperament and hard-hitting approach.
