Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to make a big impact in the remaining days left in the January transfer window, after failing to spend a single penny back in the summer transfer window.
Spurs currently find themselves out of the title race, so their main aim from here on in will be to secure a top four spot in the Premier League.
And, it appears as if the London club are looking to secure a potential addition, as according to The Sun, Spurs are lining up a £20 million move for Adrien Rabiot.
It’s thought that Daniel Levy is ready to loosen the purse strings to sanction the club’s first signing in a year.
However, the Frenchman will only join if his current club Paris Saint-Germain secure the services of Idrissa Gueye.
The 23-year-old’s contract is set to expire in the summer and he has made it clear that he will not sign a new deal.
So, Levy could bag himself a bargain as Paris Saint-Germain would rather sell Rabiot for a £20 million than allow him to leave on a free at the end of the season.
Adrien Rabiot is valued at £45 million (by Transfermarkt), so securing him for £20 million would be incredible.
Spurs have already lost Mousa Dembele this month, so securing the services of Rabiot would help solve their lack of cover in the middle of midfield, as well as providing them with one of the world’s most promising midfielders.
