Tottenham transfer target Roberto Soldado has revealed he is keen on a move to the Premier League this summer in news that has brightened the mood in the Football Transfer Tavern this afternoon.
Jamie Sanderson from Metro has reported the story as he tells punters that White Hart Lane boss Andre Villas-Boas is known to be keen on the Valencia striker and this has long seen him linked with a move to England.
It was suggested last week that Tottenham had made their interest official after making a firm bid of £10 million for the Spanish international who netted 30 goals in 46 games for the Mestalla-based club last season.
And today he confirmed he would be interested in a move to England, telling reporters: “I’m not closing the door to anyone.
“I know that some of my Spain team-mates have left La Liga and done very well. The Premier League is very attractive.”
Valencia are thought to be keen to sell the centre forward to help their continued cash crisis when the transfer window opens and with Spurs eager to sign that proven striker, Soldado could be pulling on the famous Lilywhite jersey next season.
