Tottenham Hotspur managed to keep their title hopes alive by getting the better of Leicester City earlier on today at Wembley Stadium.
Mauricio Pochettino has worked wonders in recent times in North London with the Premier League title now back in their sights, but they’ll need to be almost perfect from here on in to stand any chance of securing the title.
Interestingly, it appears as if Spurs are eyeing a possible summer swoop, as according to The Express, Tottenham are planning a £35 million raid to snatch Declan Rice from West Ham United.
Rice has been on Spurs’ radar for some time and, even though the midfielder signed a new five-and-a-half-year deal in December, West Ham face a battle to hold onto him.
But, the Lilywhites aren’t the only team eyeing a possible move for the Republic of Ireland international as Liverpool are also reportedly interested.
Indeed, after witnessing Mousa Dembele’s departure back in the January transfer window, perhaps Rice will be the man to take his place in the middle of midfield.
So, it appears as if Spurs are lining up a big-money swoop for Declan Rice, who has established himself as a star in the Premier League and on the international stage already with the Republic of Ireland.
Indeed, £35 million for Declan Rice would be a big statement of intent from Daniel Levy and Spurs, especially after failing to spend in the last two transfer window.
