Spurs are looking good this season but once again fell short in a London derby, falling to Arsenal at the Emirates yesterday with somewhat of a whimpering performance.
Pochettino’s men will be kicking themselves for losing such a big game with ease, but it’s not something new, and it remains a problem for Spurs in that they tend to drop points when it comes to the crunch games in the race for the Premier League title.
Our landlord here in the Tavern though thinks there is little reason to be panicking if you’re a Spurs fan, but he does think the club could do with adding one or two new faces to the squad in the January transfer window.
One player he thinks the club should make a move for is Aston Villa starlet Kienan Davis, who is making waves in the Championship after moving from non-league.
Davis is a huge presence up top, and has all the attributes needed to develop into a top player in the Premier League under the right sort of manager. Pochettino could be just that manager.
The big Aston Villa striker has bags of potential and is already impressing Steve Bruce with a host of excellent performances. Spurs will always struggle to attract a top striker while ever Harry Kane is about, but Davis will surely be more than happy to play second or third fiddle to Kane, and the chance to learn and play with the England talisman is a big opportunity for the teenager.
Spurs fans, what do you think? Would Davis be a good signing? Let us know in the comments!
