Spurs should add steel to back line with move for 24-year-old Premier League defender

The Spurs supporters here in the Football Transfer Tavern have been pretty pleased with their team over the last season and although they won’t finish as champions for a second successive campaign there is still cause for optimism at what the future might hold.

The North Londoners are blessed with one of the most exciting squads in the top flight and the supporters who regularly come drinking in the Tavern are delighted with the potential within the current squad.

Spurs will naturally look towards the summer transfer window as a chance to expand their squad and several new additions could be made to an already promising looking group of players.

One man who would fit the ethos of Spurs quite nicely is Hull City central defender Harry Maguire who has been fantastic for the Tigers this season, during a campaign where it looks as though they will be relegated from the Premier League.

The 24-year-old looks destined to stay in the Premier League even if his current club don’t and a move to Spurs would at least boost his chances of playing regular first-team football too, whereas a move to say Manchester City, Arsenal or Chelsea could see him spend more time on the bench.

A couple of ardent Spurs supporters are sat snaffling their way through one of the landlord’s mega breakfasts and they believe that Maguire could be an exceptional signing for the club given that he is still young and has massive potential.

Spurs fans, would you welcome the Hull City man to the club? Let us know in the comments below!!!
