Spurs are looking in good nick still despite the injury to Harry Kane, and they saw off Fulham thanks to a late Harry Winks goal this weekend.

The job Mauricio Pochettino is doing is quite superb in all honesty, and even with the loss of England striker Kane, it would not be a surprise to see the Wembley based club finish as the closest challengers to Man City and Liverpool come May.

However, we at the Tavern think the club do need some help up top, and we think they should use the next week or so of the transfer window to really go out and make a big statement.

That's why we think they should make a move to sign Lazio forward Ciro Immobile, who has once again been in fine form for the Rome based club, notching some 13 goals already to maintain the good form he has shown over the past few years.

Immobile, valued at some £50m on Transfermarkt, is the type of razor sharp forward who would relish the chance of playing in a team like Spurs, who seemingly create chances at will with the methodical attacking play orchestrated by Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli.

The Italian would be a big buy at quite the expense, but strikers can cost the big money, and Immobile could well be worth it for Pochettino and co.

If Spurs do want to take the title challenge seriously and make their move, then signing someone like Immobile could be the perfect move.

Spurs fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
