Spurs once again did nothing in the transfer window as Mauricio Pochettino seems satisfied with his squad following a host of injuries to his squad.

The likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli will remain out for the foreseeable future, and it looks like being a risk move by the club to not make a move to sign any new players as they seek to cement their place in the top four.

There were players out there too who we here in the Tavern felt could have offered something to the Spurs cause, and one man we feel they should have gone all out for is Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos, who has been in superb form for the Gers this term.

Steven Gerrard's men are making a good fist of taking the fight to Celtic this term, and Morelos has played a huge role, with 12 league goals already and putting in some fine overall displays for the Ibrox outfit.

Morelos though would appear to be a class above, and a move into a bigger league is looking inevitable really.

That's why Spurs should have made their move. He would have been cheaper than so many other talents in the country and around Europe, and would have been no doubt happy to play second fiddle to Kane and learn his craft under Pochettino.

There is always the summer for Spurs with Morelos, but we can't help thinking it's a chance missed by the Londoners.
