Spurs are continuing to surprise everyone in the game with their title challenge, and the Londoners are well in the mix as we head into the January transfer window.
The likes of Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Heung Min Son have been in superb form for Pochettino’s men, and if they can maintain their form, then there is a chance they might well end up as Premier League champions if everything falls into place for the club.
However, we at the Tavern think that for the club to maintain their push, they need to add some new faces during January, when injuries and suspensions can start to rob teams of their potential.
That’s why we think adding some more firepower is needed, and we believe that the signing of French striker Alassane Plea could well prove a shrewd move for the club.
The £38m-rated star has recenty made his international debut for Les Bleus, and while he is currently plying his trade in Germany with Borussia Monchengladbach, he could well be open to a move into the Premier League.
Spurs are the ideal club for him to adapt too, a club where Plea would know he would be second fiddle behind Kane, but would no doubt still be given plenty of chances to impress.
Plea is clearly doing something right given his recent French honours, and if Spurs are keen on adding new strikers to the squad, then the French youngster could well prove to be a brilliant signing.
Spurs fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
