Spurs have had quite the calm summer in terms of the transfer market, with Mauricio Pochettino seemingly happy to trust his current squad in the main.
Until the past week, Spurs had signed nobody. That changed when the club parted with a club record fee for Ajax defender Davinson Sanchez.
However, the Spurs fans here in the Tavern are still not quite content, and they have been giving their thoughts to our landlord this week about just who the club should look to bring in before the summer transfer window slams shut next week.
One area of the pitch they could do with adding to is up front, where Harry Kane seems to burden a lot of the responsibility when it comes to knocking the goals in for the London club.
However, our landlord thinks that the club could make a swoop for one world class forward to help Kane out, and that man is PSG star Edinson Cavani.
The Uruguayan has long been one of the most lethal forwards on the continent and his form for PSG since sealing a move from Napoli has been excellent in the main.
Despite his form though, he has often found himself overshadowed in Paris, and more recently is in this situation again as the club have splashed out on Brazilian star Neymar.
A move to England could be something Cavani fancies before it’s too late in his career, and the chance to work with Kane and help fire Spurs to Premier League and Champions League success could be the ideal scenario for the player at this stage.
Spurs fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know!
