Spurs will be looking to add some new faces before the transfer window slams shut this Thursday, and manager Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to get any potential deals over the line quickly.
The club have only managed to bring in Davison Sanchez of note this window, leaving some Spurs fans here in the Tavern to raise their voices in concern that the club could be getting left behind in terms of challenging for the title.
Couple this with their poor start to their campaign, and it’s easy to see why people are getting worried.
However, our landlord thinks with a few additions to the line-up, Spurs could be well on their way to challenging once more, and he has picked out a Real Madrid starlet as someone who can add some quality to the ranks. That man? Flying left back Theo Hernandez.
The young defender has only recently joined Madrid, but with Marcelo firmly the number one choice at the Bernabeu down the left hand side, it could mean Hernandez finds his chances limited.
With Danny Rose out of the action for Pochettino for the foreseeable future, the Argentine could look to add another left back to his squad on a short term basis.
Hernandez is a quality looking player, and at 19 has bags of time to develop. Getting some game time under his belt for a huge club like Spurs would be a massive boost for him, while Madrid would be getting some vital minutes into one of their top young players.Like what the TT have on offer?
