Spurs romped to a stunning win over Real Madrid this mid-week, and, at the time of writing, were preparing for the visit of Crystal Palace to Wembley in a game many expect them to simply cruise to victory in.
Mauricio Pochettino has got his Spurs side playing some scintillating football when they are at their best, and the Argentine can be proud of his squad as we head into the busy winter months of football.
Our landlord too has thoroughly enjoyed watching the Londoners this season, and he has been chatting this week about just what if the club were to lose Harry Kane, and sell him on for what would surely be a world record fee, or close to.
While it would be a huge hole to fill, he thinks that with the money Spurs would have at their disposal, the club could go all out and sign Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, who himself has been in superb form the Italians this season, with 11 goals in as many games in Serie A so far.
Dybala is a different type of player to Kane, but is bordering on world class already, and just 23-years-old, has plenty of time to improve and further his game.
The challenge of replacing Kane could be one he would relish, and his ability would surely ensure he was a success in the Premier League from day one. If Kane does leave, then Dybala is of the calibre of striker who Spurs should definitely be looking to sign as a replacement.
